Gilad Atzmon Atzmon writes on political matters, social issues, Jewish identity and culture. His papers are published on very many press outlets around the world. Here is just a short list of his recent publications: World News, Press Tv, Rebelion, The Daily Telegraph, Uprooted Palestinians, Veterans Today, Palestine Telegraph, Counterpunch, Dissident Voice, Aljazeera Magazine, Information Clearing House, Middle-East-Online, Palestine Chronicle, The People Voice, Redress, Shoa (The Palestinian Holocaust) , The Guardian, transcend and many more.
Wandering Who? A Study Of Jewish Identity PoliticsJewish identity is tied up with some of the most difficult and contentious issues of today. The purpose in this book is to open many of these issues up for discussion. Since Israel defines itself openly as the ‘Jewish State’, we should ask what the notions of ’Judaism’, ‘Jewishness’, ‘Jewish culture’ and ‘Jewish ideology’ stand for. Gilad examines the tribal aspects embedded in Jewish secular discourse, both Zionist and anti Zionist; the ‘holocaust religion’; the meaning of ‘history’ and ‘time’ within the Jewish political discourse; the anti-Gentile ideologies entangled within different forms of secular Jewish political discourse and even within the Jewish left. He questions what it is that leads Diaspora Jews to identify themselves with Israel and affiliate with its politics. The devastating state of our world affairs raises an immediate demand for a conceptual shift in our intellectual and philosophical attitude towards politics, identity politics and history.

Gilad Atzmon Valley of the Wolves: Palestine is a new Turkish movie portraying the Mavi Marmara massacre as a premeditated Israeli attack that was set to kill innocent peace activists.
An uproar has erupted in Germany in the last few days over the upcoming launching of the film. The film's intended release date in Germany is January 27, the same day as the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Apparently the German distributor of the film confirmed that the company had been unaware of the sensitivity of the date. However, I actually think that linking between the events is not such a bad idea. If the International Holocaust Remembrance Day is there to remind us of crimes committed by a racist ethno-centric regime in the past, the Turkish film is there to awaken us to the colossal crimes that are committed by a racist ethno-centric regime in the present. If Germans are genuinely interested in the Nazi past, they better look closely at Israeli current brutality.

Gilad Atzmon http://www.bidayat.org/en/projects/427/365-am-documentary/
Synopsis
Two young journalists found themselves in the middle of what would be their biggest story yet, but what happened would change their lives forever.
365 AM is the raw story of Gaza and two journalists trying to reach the rest of the world from inside one of the most deeply divided and silenced places on the globe.
Objective of the film
1- we seek to show and educate the Western audience about a different narrative than the one they are used to seeing about the people in Gaza.
2- we intend on entering this film into many film festivals around the world.
3- we will create a website that will empower people to take action giving them a set of practical steps that they can take to help the people of Gaza.
4- we hope to do a speaking tour around the world with Ayman Mohyeldin and Sherine Tadros targeting the Universities, and other educational and prominent institutions to shed light on what happend in Gaza.

The Sept. 6, 2010 issue of the leading German newspaper Der Spiegel included the article "Studies Show Nurture at Least as Important as Nature" by Joerge Blech on the findings of a groundbreaking study on intelligence. Researchers found that prolonged poverty, stress and other environmental factors—including war and the deprivation of basic needs—directly affect a child's intelligence and, therefore, his or her life prospects.

Gilad Atzmon A few
days ago I published an expose of Captain Israel, a new Jewish racist comic magazine. I also mentioned the names of the Jewish organisations and sponsors as listed by the Jewish magazine publisher.
Earlier on today, the Foundation For Jewish Culture contacted me. They wanted to disassociate themselves from the new Jewish comic magazine. Someone out there starts to feel the heat. I guess that our criticism may fall on some attentive ears after all,
Here is the letter from Ester Bloom@ Foundation for Jewish Culture:
Dear Gilad,
I saw your piece on OnlineJournal and wanted to correct a misunderstanding. Although the Foundation for Jewish Culture was a nominal supporter of a project several years ago called "Team SuperJews," through the UJC and the Federation/Alliance, that project ended in 2008.
This new Captain Israel comic book is a product of StandWithUs, a completely separate and different organization with no ties to us at all. The confusion seems to stem from the fact that "Team SuperJews" had, and the new StandWithUs comic book have, main characters called "Captain Israel." But we have no relationship to the comic book or to StandWithUs.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Ester
